After meeting at Bled, you can ascend the old castle perched on top of a steep cliff above the glacial Lake Bled. Castle terraces offer spectacular views of the lake and its tiny island in the middle. Your professional tour guide will explain you everything about the history, cultural and natural heritage of Bled region. Take a boat ride with ‘Pletna’ – traditional boat made by locals, only known at Bled and let the oarsman takes you to the only true island in Slovenia. There is 99 stairs leading to the single nave church from 15th century with a 52-meter high free-standing bell-tower where you can ring a ‘fortune bell’. Continue to breath-taking beauty of Bled’s Vintgar gorge, where wooden path leads along rushing river Radovna through the picturesque gorge, which measure 1600m and ends with 26-metre waterfall Sum. Each guest can visit all the attractions: Bled castle, Bled Island with boat ride and Vintgar Gorge. On the other hand each guest can visit only one or two attractions. Free time is best used to walk around the lake or tasting a famous Bled’s cream cake in one of the cafes on the bank of Bled Lake. Discover the underground world of Postojna Cave, most popular karst cave in the world. Hour and a half long guided tour will consist of a ride by electrical train and followed by a walk through beautiful passages and chambers with spectacular drop stones, pillars, limestone curtains and other unforgettable forms. This stalactite paradise has 21 km of passages, galleries and magnificent halls which offer a unique experience of the underground world. Continue to idyllic village of Predjama where you will be amazed by one of most picturesque castles - Slovenian fairytale medieval Predjama castle with dramatic setting in the gaping mouth of a cavern halfway up a hillside. You will be guided by our professional tour guide through the castle rooms, corridors, learn about the history of the castle and its former owners. You will instantly get the picture why this castle was unconquerable and why so many failed in taking it over. You will learn about the legend of Erasmus – ‘Slovenian Robin Hood’ who rebelled against the imperial autocracy in the 15th century and then return back to Bled.
